How to choose your cream, milk or cleansing gel?

Como escolher o seu creme, leite ou gel de limpeza?

Cleaning your face is one of the most important steps in a skin routine. We live in polluted environments, we use products that are designed to stay 'on' the skin (hello sunscreen!), we sweat and we wear make-up.

To achieve healthy and clean skin, the ideal is to opt for a double cleansing, that is, a two-step cleansing process. The first step is to use a cleansing oil or balm, and the second step is to do a second cleansing with a mild cleansing milk or cream, or a mild oil-gel or cleansing foam. The advantage The first step removes all impurities of an oily nature and the second step cleanses more deeply and begins to treat a skin problem (such as sensitivities, dehydration, or imperfections)..

In this post we share our recommendations for face cleansers, creams and gels, depending on your skin type or goal.

Dull and lifeless skin

If your skin is dull and lifeless, or if you have skin blemishes, opt for an illuminating cleanser. In addition to cleansing the skin, these products also have natural oils and vitamins that provide anti-oxidant properties and help to brighten your skin.

Sensitive skin

If you have sensitive skin, it's even more important to use a mild facial cleanser. Sensitive skin needs softness and therefore gentle and soothing products.

Dry, scaly or tight skin

If your skin tends to feel tight after cleansing, try using hydrating and nourishing cleansers. For example, choose a sulfate-free facial cleanser or, better yet, a gentle, comforting facial cleanser.

congested skin

On the other hand, if you have oily, combination or congested skin, you may prefer to use a purifying cleanser such as a foaming purifying gel. Be careful, however, to use a cleaning product that is both purifying and gentle. Or you can alternate between a purifying face wash and a moisturizing face wash to avoid removing too much of your skin's oils, which are also important for maintaining balance. The key is to preserve your skin's hydrolipidic film, which ensures healthy skin!
