What is the correct order to apply the products on the face?

Qual a ordem correta para aplicar os produtos no rosto?

We noticed. It has a drawer full of fantastic products - SPF. Be a. Tonic. Day cream. Night cream. Oil. But which one comes first, last, night or day?

The order in which you apply your beauty products is important. Applying products in the correct order helps the skin get the most benefits from each product. Some products are formulated to keep the skin protected, while others are meant to let in the nourishing ingredients.

In addition, it is necessary to let each product have the necessary time to act and for it to be properly absorbed by the skin, before putting on the next product.

The Golden Rule is always from the lightest to the heaviest, that is, from the thinnest to the thickest.

1st Step: Cleaning

Any non-greasy cleanser works fine. Milk, balm, soft foam or gel. You can use the same cleaning product that you use overnight, for the second cleaning.

2nd Step: Exfoliating

If your skin needs a little gentle exfoliation in the morning (because you have dry skin or textures that you need to remove in order to apply your makeup better), do it in this step, right after cleansing.

3rd Step: Toner, spray or moisturizing essence

This is the beginning of the hydration process and it also helps in the absorption of the products that are applied afterwards, such as the serum. Ideally, serums or face oils should be applied to damp skin to facilitate absorption. In this case, the ideal would be to apply them over a moisturizing tonic that suits your skin type.

4th Step: Eye Cream

Don't leave your eye cream until the end. No matter how carefully you apply your serum/moisturizer, you will always have some in the eye area and then your eye cream will not absorb where you want it. Apply the eye cream before the serum to ensure the best results.

5th Step: Serum

Serums are super-concentrated, nutrient-dense treatments that address specific concerns, so it's best to keep them as close to the skin as possible. There are several serums available on the market, but by day we recommend a hydrating serum, to keep your skin soft and hydrated from within, or an antioxidant or anti-pollution serum, which provides a variety of benefits - from reducing the inflammatory response of your skin to neutralizing damage from UV rays and environmental pollutants.

6th Step: Moisturizing

Everyone needs a moisturizer, even those with oily skin. Moisturizer is one of the last things to apply.

7th Step: Sunscreen

Sunscreen should be the last step in your daytime skin care routine, whether using a physical or mineral sunscreen, which works by physically blocking UV rays. Apply every day, even on cloudy or rainy days, as UV rays don't need the sun to reach your skin.If your day moisturizer already has sun protection, you can skip this step!

1st Step: Double Cleaning ("Double Cleansing")

To get rid of the dirt, impurities, oils and makeup of the day, some experts recommend a double cleanse, which involves using a cleansing oil first to dissolve the makeup and then washing your face again with your regular cleanser. a method that we recommend, and that we talked about in more detail in this post.

2nd Step: Exfoliating or Exfoliating Mask

Any exfoliation step or exfoliating masks should be done right after cleansing. It is a step that is going to be removed and whose purpose is to remove dead skin cells. As such, it should be applied before products that are designed to stay on the skin.

5th Step: Treatment Serum

Like the rest of the body, the skin does most of its repair, restoration and regeneration while we sleep. That's why more targeted skin care treatments are best used at night.

This should be your main expense in terms of skin care. Ideally, you can have at least 3 products that you can combine and use depending on your skin's needs.

6th Step: Moisturizing Mask or Face Oil
